arts_feature1-3The Victorian Era was filled with rapidly changing social mores, a fascination with death and the occult, a desire to travel to exotic locales, and an interest in both historicism and modern technology. Join design historians Eleanor Schrader and Ian Patrick for a fascinating tour through the art and design of this period and a look at some of the weird and creepy collections of the Victorians!

Where:  Santa Monica College, Humanities and Social Sciences Building, Room 105.  (Signposts will be provided.)

When:  7 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, January 8.

Free parking at Santa Monica College.  The parking lot closest to the lecture hall is at the northwest corner of Pico and 17th Street.  After parking, walk east to the Humanities and Social Sciences Building.  There will be signage pointing you to the room.
