The Victorian-era Castle Green in Pasadena is a Nationally Registered Historic Monument. It has extensive grounds, including a lily pond and arched walkways and verandas, with magnificent trees and expansive lawns. The interior space sare furnished with original Victorian antiques and plush velvet drapes. Architect Frederick Roehrig built Castle Green for the wealthy who loved vacationing in sunny California in this lavish 19th century resort.

The exterior is in the Mediterranean Revival style, while many of its interior rooms incorporate the Moorish Revival style which was one of the many eclectic styles popular in the Victorian era. It has many original features including the oldest wrought iron 24-hour operator-driven elevator on the West Coast, beautiful plaster and wood moldings, hand=carved fireplace mantles, and original lighting.

Castle Green is open to the public twice a year, for the annual Holiday Tour in December and the annual Summer Tour.
