I don’t know about you but I love autumn. As a long-time college professor, fall marks the beginning of the school year. Not only does this time of year stir nostalgia, but it also serves to remind me of my passionate belief in the importance of education. My life’s work has been devoted to education – in the classroom, as a tour leader and in my professional activities.

Similarly, this monthly newsletter is designed to be educational – to help us all appreciate the beauty and function of design, the importance of the past, and the crucial need for preservation.

And so, I’m delighted to bring to you the second issue of Delicious Design, which seeks to provide you news and perspectives on design, decorative arts and architecture; keep you updated on exciting upcoming tours, lectures and classes; and explore the extraordinary treasures to be found in Los Angeles and beyond.

I want to thank all of you who sent me such wonderful feedback after the first issue came out in July. Please keep the comments coming my way by emailing me at eschapa@adelphia.net. And visit my website for more information and share this newsletter with your friends, on social media and anywhere else in the universe you want.

I hope this newsletter will be continue to be fresh and interesting and will give you a unique perspective on topics that are near and dear to all our hearts.

Enjoy this fall season!

Eleanor
