I’m excited to let you know that I have partnered with dear friend and prominent architect Christopher Sorensen to offer an architecture and design tour Sept. 2-7 in Chicago, a city known for its architecture, from historic to contemporary.
Included in the itinerary will be Frank Lloyd Wright’s home and studio in Oak Park, just outside Chicago; the iconic Farnsworth House, a stellar example of the International Style of the mid-20th century; a Chicago River architecture tour; and the famed Chicago Art Institute.
The tour includes four nights at the historic and elegant Hotel Burnham in downtown Chicago; several meals; ground transportation; and admission to each site/tour.
Christopher, a native of Chicago, will add an invaluable dimension to the tour, not only because of his familiarity with the city, but also because he is one of L.A.’s most prominent architects, particularly in sustainable design. (See my blog on Christopher.)
Please email me at EleanorSchrader@roadrunner.com for more details. I look forward to seeing you in the Windy City!
