Huntington Library

Huntington Library

Many of you know that to be a truly good designer or artist, or student of these disciplines, I strongly believe you have to see, and even feel, the best of art and the built environment up close and personal.

That’s why I’m constantly looking for new ways to offer art, architecture and design tours, ranging from our back yard in Los Angeles to the entire globe.

And I’m thrilled that I’ve found a new way: through Santa Monica College’s outstanding Community Education program.

This fall I will be offering two tours: Huntington Library: A Day in the Art Collections, Gardens & English Tea on Nov. 7 and Spanish Colonial Revival Architecture & Malibu Potteries Tile: Adamson House & Serra Retreat on Nov. 10.

As many of you know, I have long been an admirer of both these L.A.-area treasures, particularly the Adamson House, on whose Board of Directors I serve as Vice President.

Please join me for one, or both, of what I promise will be fun and insightful tours. And you are welcome to email me at EleanorSchrader@roadrunner.com if you have questions or want more information.
