I’m happy to announce that I just started teaching my first class at Santa Monica College’s acclaimed Emeritus College for older adults – one of, if not the largest program of its kind in the nation. I’m teaching an Art Survey course and enjoying it very much.
I love teaching older adults because they come to the table with more life experience and knowledge. They’re eager to learn and they’re focused. Our class discussions are well rounded, and I find myself learning from my students.
From “cave art” to contemporary art, I’m going to be covering it all. And I’m looking forward to the journey ahead with these special lifelong learners.
