I’m overwhelmed with the response to my new Meetup group, “L.A. Decorative Arts, Interior Design & Architecture,” since launching it May 2 with a private tour of John Lautner’s iconic Sheats-Goldstein House.
Your enthusiasm, great questions and eagerness to learn have been so impressive and have made me so grateful to have you on these tours. In just two months, I have led 11 tours to the San Francisco Bay Area and to Los Angeles area sites that include the Queen Mary, Watts Tower, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Hollyhock House, and San Pedro.
For September, I am concentrating on the Chicago Labor Day Weekend Architecture and Arts Tour Sept. 2-7 that I will be leading with prominent L.A. architect Christopher Sorensen, a Chicago native. We’ve added a second, shorter and less expensive option to the tour from Sept. 4 to 7.
I hope you can join me in Chicago or on future Meetup tours. If you haven’t already, please sign up for my Meetup group. Oftentimes, I’m able to arrange for access or special tours that are not normally open to the public, thanks to all the wonderful people and connections I’ve made along the way in my journey of design. You can also email me at EleanorSchrader@roadrunner.com for more details. Thank you!
Warmest regards,
Eleanor
