I’ve arranged for a behind-the-scenes private tour of the famous and fabulous Chateau Marmont with the very gracious general manager of the storied hotel. We’ll meet in the living room of the hotel for cocktails and soft drinks (no-host) at 3 p.m. and then depart for our gossip-filled tour of some of the rooms and the grounds of the hotel.
Here is an article on the general manager and my long-time friend Philip Pavel, and you’ll be dazzled by his charm and wit as he tells us about the history of the hotel and some of its more “interesting” guests.
Parking is generally not available at the hotel itself unless you are staying overnight, so plan on parking on the street or in a nearby parking lot (sometimes a 10- or 15-minute walk).
