I’m one lucky woman. Over the past many years I’ve had the good fortune of teaching art, architecture and design history courses at UCLA Extension and Santa Monica College; leading tours all over the country; and giving lectures on many topics at many venues.
But what makes me really fortunate is that my students, tour participants and others I’ve encountered professionally are truly wonderful people. They have become an extended family. I love keeping in touch with them via email, Facebook and other methods of communication.
Sometimes, I receive heartwarming messages from these dear friends. I wanted to share one in particular with you. Thank you, Carol Rosenberg, an architecture and garden docent at the Getty, for these very kind words:
“I love the way you sincerely connect with your fans. I remember and treasure the wonderful classes I have taken from you, and how they have truly impacted my life.
“I especially loved your class on the Bauhaus era in which you deftly combined its history and your wonderful sense of humor never to be forgotten.”
All my best to you,
Eleanor
