“What a wonderful trip we had! Thank you so much for joining Francois and me. We had such a good time planning the trip for you and anticipating your responses to each and every place we visited.
Yes, we’ll have a reunion! In the meantime, I just wanted to make sure you’re all connected.”
Hugs all around~

“What a fabulous adventure in the South of France. A heartfelt thank you to Eleanor and Francois for a well planned and well delivered tour of southern France! On this trip I not only enjoyed my fellow travelers, but also enjoyed the area we covered. This is the first tour I’ve taken where I felt fully immersed in my surroundings. The Klimt exhibit was the epitome of “experiencing” art, as the images flowed around and over those of us fortunate to be in the cavernous hall.
I also felt immersed in the past in the chateau/castle, where the tour guide/owner who showed us an exquisite display of furniture and clothing roped off to keep us from intruding into the museum explained that he lives there and eats at the dining table and sleeps at the bed we viewed. I enjoyed having to close the shutters to my room that night and re-opening them the next morning to recapture the castle/chateau view from my room. These are just a few of many images that now provide wonderful memories of the ten-day experience in France. This was also a marvelous painting tour for me, another aspect of my “immersion” in the experience of the tour. I greatly enjoyed the Boscolon with its beautiful architecture and wood roses on doors and drawers. I enjoyed the many village tours we experienced, the San Remy Asylum, the tapenade store, St Paul de Vance, the Abbaye at Thoronet, the cathedral on the hilltop in Marseille, and so much more. I finished eight paintings while on the tour. And now I’m combing through my numerous photos for additional images to capture in watercolor. Also, for a short time I felt once again immersed in the world of Santa Monica College, where I invested more than 20 years of my life. Best of all, I reconnected with Eleanor and got to know Linas, two friends I treasure. Who knew I might be a Bohemian Republican???!!” Karen Grosz |
