Please join me for an afternoon visit and docent-led tour of the Watts Towers and Art Center. The famed sculpture consists of seventeen major sculptures constructed of structural steel, covered with mortar, and adorned with a mosaic of unique tiles, sea shells, and glass–all the work of one man, Simon Rodia.
Following our trip to the towers, we will visit the beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival home in Beverly Hills of a major collector of historic Malibu Potteries tile and mission-style furniture. Here we will enjoy a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception and talk by our gracious hostess, a respected tile expert. (Address supplied upon registration.)
